Secret Location Revealed Day of Event, Syracuse, NY
In celebration of the Rescue Mission’s 125th Anniversary, we invite you to join us for an exciting outdoor dining experience that will prove to be the event sensation of the year. The 2011 VIntage Riesling Launch is donating 2011 Finger Lakes Rieslings for the event (option for bottle of wine with dinner as extra when buying ticket). For a $20 admission, you have the privilege to participate in a DIY (do it yourself) outdoor dining event in a public space in Syracuse (the location will be kept secret until the day of the event, at 4:00p.m. we will send you a text/email revealing the location). The idea is that all participants (dressed in red) will converge on the revealed location at 6:00pm bringing with you a 3 course picnic meal, table, chairs, red linen and table settings. A "pop-up" dinner featuring the release of more than 20 different 2011 Finger Lakes Riesling wines paired with tapas-style dishes prepared by local chefs is 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 17 at 201 Bistro @ Wise Guys Comedy Club, 201 S. Salina St., Syracuse.
Chefs include Tom Kiernan (Morrison), Mary Kiernan (Syracuse University), Josh Robinson (201 Bistro), Dan Seifritz (Francesca's), Scott Peeling (Francesca's), Jason Drysdale (Turning Stone), Chance Bear (Parisa) and John Reule (201 Bistro), all members of the Syracuse Chapter of American Culinary Federation.
There's a cash bar and an opportunity to buy some newly launched Rieslings.

Seneca Lake Anniversary Celebration Setting the mood for the evening will be The Notorious String Busters, who will be playing some of their favorite bluegrass tunes that you can't help but dance to! In collaboration with the 2011 Vintage Finger Lakes Riesling Launch, we will be serving $5 flights of our Rieslings including our semi-dry, dry, and ice wines! You may also purchase wine by the glass or bottle to enjoy during the evening. We will be grilling all night long, and hamburgers and sausages along with a side will be available for $6.
